Stretch Goal Achieved!

Thank you so much to everyone who's supported this project! As of now we have achieved our stretch goal, which means all backers at the Freshman Tier or above will receive a copy of the character builder, which will contain all skills and abilities to create any character within the Valor system!

With just two days left to go before the Kickstarter concludes, we will not be announcing any further stretch goals for this project. Instead, we will divert any surplus money to our future projects, in this case the completion and re-launch of Valor: Villains, Creatures and Foes. We're overwhelmed with gratitude for the support and enthusiasm people have shown for this project and for Valor, and we're excited to bring Best in Class to you, as well as continuing to produce more content for Valor and the Valress setting. We're just getting started!

Almost to Stretch Goal and Final Character

We're in the final hours with just under three days left! And at a mere $44 from our stretch goal, we're very nearly locked in for the character builder!

Today we'll be looking at the second beastfolk and the final class member, Sophie Estrada.

Sophie Estrada is a Music/Knighthood double-major. A cheerful young woman with a sunny disposition, she is intelligent, highly motivated, and has a class load that leads those around her to question when she actually sleeps. Sophie is an exceptionally talented musician with the capability of playing a number of musical instruments, and has a high degree of mastery with soundweaving, a magical art that allows her to produce, alter, distort, and even weaponize sound itself. 

With a focus on conducting, Sophie plans on attending a conservatory for her graduate studies. When asked as to why she is also majoring in Knighthood, she simply replies that she enjoys the excitement.

Sophie is a mid-range supportive mage, she wants to be close to the action but not too close so she can reach her allies and enemies with a wide variety of Techniques.

We just hit 175% funding! Thank you all so much for your support for Best in Class, it means the world to us! We're within striking distance of our stretch goal, so let's keep up the momentum! As a reminder, the Character Builder stretch goal will be given to all backers starting at the $10 Freshman tier as a free bonus. Let's make this happen!

We have two more characters left to go, with the next character being Palmer Cook, the second Ogre character.

Palmer Cook is a hardworking and somewhat fussy student-athlete on a Sports scholarship. He's a starting Guardian for MU's Brawlball team with a talent for Warding Arcanum which he is currently minoring in. On the Brawlball field he uses his bulk, strength and magic to defend his scoring teammates. Palmer decided to major in Knighthood mostly due to the potential career options should professional Brawlball not work out for him, as well as the skills it gives that translate well on the field.

Becoming a professional Brawlball player is of course Palmer's dream, but he's trying to make the most of his scholarship and is open to joining an Order should he not get drafted. 

Palmer is a defensive tank with a number of abilities to bolster himself and his teammates, as well as draw damage away from his allies. 

Migardia Interview, Character Bio and Home Stretch!

We are almost 140% funded as we approach the final week of the Kickstarter! That's absolutely amazing, we truly cannot have done it without you all. It may seem like a long way, but I know we can hit that stretch goal and get this character builder made! I know we've got a lot of folks watching us, and now is definitely the time to go! If every person watching us backs at the $10 Digital Copy tier, we will easily nail that stretch goal and character builder. Let's keep up the pace!

Finally, we've got another character bio! This is the second dwarf character, the Engineer Lucia Rios. 

Lucia Rios is the daughter of an accomplished aerospace engineer and executive. Her mother's technical prowess is highly regarded, and Lucia herself is very much her mother's daughter with regards to her own skills and abilities. Having selected MU for its mechanical engineering department, Lucia is double-majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Knighthood. She uses a custom-built crossbow that she created herself. The crossbow can fire a number of specialized bolts with ease, and holds a number of enchantments that are far more difficult to imbue upon more complex weaponry such as guns. 

Upon graduation, Lucia hopes to join a more development-focused order. While she is no stranger to the battlefield and sees it as an excellent place to test and iterate upon her designs, she is often happier in the workshop, creating new designs and weaponry for specific, often specialized applications.

Lucia is a ranged character who is most comfortable at far distances. She's not the hardiest of characters and wants a solid wall of allies in front of her at all times so she can maximize her damage and minimize her risk.

Today's character is a bit unusual. A member of the Immortal Races, she is an Unseelie Fey who has taken up the name Her Majesty the Umbral Subjugator of Mortals. Her classmates, however, simply call her Mary, much to her chagrin.

Her Majesty the Umbral Subjugator of Mortals, otherwise known as Mary by said mortals, is of the Immortal races, a fey of the Unseelie court. She is exceptionally young by fey standards, but has determined her destiny in life is to conquer all mortalkind and grind them beneath her unyielding boot. While this intent was openly declared to Mercurial University's administration (who reportedly found it "concerning"), what was also apparent from her test scores is that she is unusually studious, hardworking and focused for a fey. Mary is known for her high work ethic and general willingness to share information on the Unseelie Court with the administration which they find invaluable.

While Mary maintains her full intent to move on to conquest after graduation, it is the hope of the administration that her ambitions can be redirected as she partners and works with mortals. And it does seem to be working, to an extent, as she has expressed a certain fondness for her comrades. Unfortunately this fondness to date mostly extends to her promising them the best jobs when all mortals are pressed into service eternal under her heel. It's a work in progress.

Mary is an aggressive front-line and area of effect character who gains tremendous power as her health is drained. Her most powerful attacks drain her own health, not her stamina to be used, and she constantly juggles her health with drain and healing techniques to keep herself at an optimal health range.
