We blew past 50% in our first 24 hours! That's fantastic, and we could not have done it without everyone's support! Thank you all for believing in this project and helping us make it a reality. Here's to the next 50% and beyond!
Over the course of the campaign, we'll be showing off the sample characters that will ship with Best in Class. Each will have full playable stats from levels 1-6 on customized truncated character sheets optimized for ease of play. Character designs, as well as the cover art and many of the images that will appear in the book are all courtesy of the fantastically talented Colleen Butters, who can be found over on Twitter.
Our first character is one of the three "Commander" types. While by no means required, these characters are considered ideal leaders for parties that need them due to their general builds and backstories. They're the types who can take charge and direct the action for parties that might otherwise be contentious or fractious.
Madison Walker is the daughter of four-star General and director of the Capitol Infiltration Unit Harlan Walker, who serves as one of the top spymasters for the United Provinces of Amastur. She and her father are very close and he has taught her everything she knows, hoping she will one day surpass him in skill despite a temperament that is considerably more aggressive than the measured aging General might prefer.
Madison fully intends to surpass her father, but only on her own terms. To that end she's studying with hopes of joining the National Defense Initiative, a rival bureau to her father's CIU with the aim of becoming its director.
In combat, Madison is a highly aggressive fighter who leads fights quite literally by jumping into the most dangerous situations she can and attacking with high physical damage. Madison is at her best in dangerous situations, when her health is low her combat ability explodes exponentially. Madison can usually be seen leaping directly into an enemy's back line, and if they try to repel her they only serve to make her that much more dangerous.
